The Little Book of Maths Series

The Little Book of Maths series is packed with advice and ideas for everybody working with children in early years settings and aiming to meet the goals of the EYLF. All the activities are carefully planned to meet the objectives for each stage of development, particularly between two and five years old.

About the Authors

Clare Beswick

Trained as an early childhood teacher, Clare Beswick specializes in working with babies and very young children with special needs and their families. She writes for many early childhood publications, and has written several books for parents and for children.

Sally Featherstone

Sally Featherstone has a wealth of experience as a teacher, consultant, trainer, and author in the field of early childhood education. In 1993, she and Phill Featherstone founded Featherstone Education, a division of Bloomsbury Publishing.

Neil Griffiths

Neil Griffiths was a Primary School headteacher for 13 years before taking on the role of director of a National Literacy Support Project for the Basic Skills Agency. He came up with and developed Storysacks, promoting them to schools and communities throughout the UK.

Terry Gould

Terry Gould was awarded a first class honours degree for teaching children in the 3-11 age range, a diploma in education, and a master's degree in teaching research in the early years. His extensive range of experience working with children, includes being deputy head teacher of a large 100-place flagship nursery school and deputy head teacher across 10 community nursery centres in the UK.

Marianne Knaus

Marianne Knaus is an Honorary Associate Professor at Edith Cowan University, Perth, Australia. She also works part time in the early childhood program at the School of Education, University of New England, Armidale.
