Bernadette Lawlor-BeechBernadette Lawlor-Beech has been engaged in education for almost 20 years and is passionate about making a difference in teaching and learning. She has taught in primary and secondary schools and is currently principal of Holy Family School in Wanaka. Bernadette is particularly interested in the transitional years between primary and secondary and has taught years 6 to 8 both in New Zealand and England. In 2005 Bernadette won the New Zealand NEITA Excellence in Education award for her research and work with reading programmes. She has a special interest in developing high quality, accessible maths resources that engage and entrench learning.
