This activity book accompanies the Story Seekers Series 3 fourteen chapter books. It includes teaching ideas and copiable worksheets to build on and extend students' linguistic comprehension, oral language, vocabulary and decoding word skills, plus it includes higher order thinking (HOT) questions to encourage discussion. 

Series 3 Story Seekers is written specifically for students aged 9 to 12 with a reading level of 7.5 to 8 years old. With considered text, high-quality images and associated literacy activities, each chapter book is designed and levelled to appeal to reluctant readers while improving their reading comprehension. 

The books can be used for a guided reading setting, as independent readers, or as ESOL support resources. Plus, the books are dyslexia-friendly - making them accessible to everyone.

Marie Langley

Marie Langley’s experience in education includes 19 years teaching in secondary and area (Years 1 to 13) schools, 10 years as head of an English department, and seven years as a deputy principal. Her published works include a thesis for a Master of Teaching and Learning degree, magazine articles, short stories, poetry, picture books, a junior novel and numerous educational resource texts. She currently lives and works in Golden Bay in the top north-west corner of the South Island of New Zealand.
