Essential Resources believes in learning. We help teachers teach and students learn.
Our resources are strongly grounded in what works in the classroom, giving teachers lesson plans, tools and strategies they need to make a difference. They support students’ learning through every stage of their schooling, ensuring students excel and can apply their learning to numerous meaningful contexts.
Engaging and of high interest, they are developed to provide students with the skills necessary to become analytical thinkers, problem solvers and idea generators, and to succeed in a multinational work environment.

- Independent, brain-flexing activities to consolidate mathematics learning
Here’s a smart series packed with bright ideas to boost your students’ knowledge and skills in vital areas of the mathematics curriculum. Each book supports the classroom programme with numerous activities that can be used to introduce and/or reinforce concepts and strategies at the core of measurement, geometry, statistics or probability. Designed to both extend and inspire young minds, activities favour hands-on tasks, real-life contexts – and fun. Activity pages strengthen learning with clear learning intentions linked to the curriculum and, where needed, explanations and helpful hints that students can use to tackle the task constructively. You can also foster your students’ independent work habits as they can check their own answers against the model answers that are included.
Caroline Mulholland is an experienced teacher and author. She has taught in New Zealand and the United Kingdom. When not teaching or writing, she is a busy mother of two. Her two children Emma and Jack are both her biggest fans and harshest critics and enjoy helping to test out her new books and to ensure there is plenty of fun alongside the learning activities. They particularly like trying any type of science experiments and activities that involve code cracking and logic skill.
