Julia has worked as both a kindergarten teacher and educational leader since graduating from the University of Ballarat with a Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood) several years ago. She currently works as a sessional kindergarten teacher and program coordinator at a centre in Melbourne. Julia holds a Master of Education Studies from Federation University; her thesis explored teacher impact on peer relationships in kindergarten settings.
