Focus on Physics - Book 1

Activities to build knowledge of light, mirrors, energy and electricity

By completing the activities in Book 1, students will gain an in-depth understanding of the nature of light, colour, reflection and energy, as well as the concepts and terminology of electricity. To develop this understanding, the activities move them along an achievable pathway, progressing from the basics to tasks that require ever-greater expertise. This versatile resource is designed to be an asset in any classroom, whether it has all of the equipment needed for hands-on demonstrations and experiments or not. The approach is integrated as well: while each topic is explored in detail, light, colour and electricity are specifically linked.
