If you help young children correctly enounce sounds, they can articulate words more clearly. This book contains ideas and strategies for teaching the seven aspects of effective speech: relaxation, posture, breathing, resonance, articulation, modulation and forward placement. Each section has task cards that include tips about technique and exercises for the children to practise these sounds or methods correctly.

Miriam McKenzie (previously Erikson) (B.Ed, Dip Tchg, Otago NZ) Miriam has over twenty five years’ experience teaching speech and drama. Her training not only includes New Zealand educational institutes but also Trinity College, London and she has taught not only in New Zealand but also the UK. Currently, her e-learning programmes extend throughout the world. and she trains a diverse range of clients including CEOs, bank managers, lawyers, business owners, teachers, and children.
