The Visual Supports Handbook Book 2

Visual support strategies to enhance learning

The ideas in this series have been gleaned from a variety of national and international sources and adapted for special needs and inclusive classes. As they have been trialled over years of working in the classroom with students, they stand on the solid foundation of practical experience and evidence of improvements in social skills, behaviour and curriculum access and learning.

From 1991–2000 she worked at Sydenham School in Christchurch where she was the class teacher for students with communication delays and disorders. In 2000 Jocelyn began her current position as a Resource Teacher of Learning and Behaviour (RTLB). This involves working collaboratively with classroom teachers to explore strategies that assist student learning in the primary and secondary inclusive classroom.
