Growing up close to nature near Seattle, Washington, USA, Patsy Blackstock (BA, MA/ABS, Dip Tchg) became a passionate environmentalist in 1971 with the launch of the first Earth Day. She has worked in northeast Scotland helping to develop the Global Eco-village Network. She taught for four years in Steiner Education and now focuses on environmental education for sustainability in the primary sector.

Originally hailing from London, England, Paul Mason (BA, MSc, Dip Tchg) gained his teacher training in New Zealand at Auckland University. He has worked as a specialist English teacher, a specialist technology teacher, and at most year levels in the primary sector. Paul writes mainly short fiction aimed at engaging reluctant readers, and has had several stories published both in New Zealand and overseas. This is his first series of school resources.
